Breakfast starts up the metabolism process and provides us with enough energy which keeps us going throughout the day, and for children too it is very essential to have a substantial meal in the morning which renders them requisite minerals and vitamins to keep up and enhance the concentration and energy level for various physical and mental activities. Breakfast Recipes for Kids
1. FRUIT AND NUT DELIGHT
- 50g porridge
- 50g roughly chopped nuts(almonds,cashews,walnuts, pistachios)
- 100g dried fruits (figs, prunes, apple, bananas, apricots )
- 25g cereals
Heat oven at 180c , scatter nuts and dried fruits on a baking tray and cook for 10 minutes, now mix with fruits and cereals and serve with milk or yogurt.
2. OATS OMELETTE:
- Oat flour ( finely crushed oats )
- 2 eggs
- Finely chopped vegetables bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, green chilies, coriander
- grated carrots and shredded cabbage
In a bowl mix oat flour with half cup of milk and 2 beaten eggs , add chopped vegetables and season it with salt and black pepper. Now heat and grease a pan and evenly spread the batter and cover with a lid an cook both the sides properly a super healthy pancake is ready.
3. SUPER SMOOTHIES
CHOCO BANANA SHAKE
In a blender add chunks of banana , chocolate flavored protein, half cup of soaked oats, half cup of coconut milk. Blend them and serve in a glass and drizzle two spoons of honey from above.
- Par boiled vegetables -carrots, peas, cabbage, spring onions, spinach, capsicum
- Grated paneer ( cottage cheese)
- Brown bread
In a bowl mix par boiled veggies with grated paneer and add parsley, salt and oregano for seasoning. Evenly spread the mixture on slices of brown bread and the sandwich is ready.
