” Adolescence – A period of stress and strain”

Adolescence can be a crucial and critical stage in ones life. It is the period of transition from childhood to adulthood. As staged by the (WHO) one falls into adolescence at the age of 10-19.

Biological processes drive many aspects of this growth and development, with the onset of puberty marking the passage from childhood to adolescence. Many adolescents face tough choices regarding school work, sexuality, drugs, alcohol, and social life. Peer groups, romantic interests and external appearance tend to naturally increase in importance for some time during a teen’s journey toward adulthood.

Adolescence can be divided into 3 stages:
Early adolescence(11-14 years).
Middle adolescence(15-17 years).
 Late adolescence(18-21 years)
Teens experience Mental, physical and sexual changes
During adolescence there is sharp increase in height and weight. Puberty is defined as the biological changes in adolescent.

Intellectual development
Many adolescents perceive the world around them in concrete terms. They have their own rights and wrongs, but by reaching late adolescents youngsters appreciate ideas.
Emotional Changes
They are lot of emotional changes and mood swings during this period. They try to keep away from parents and spend more time with friend and seek for autonomy.
Expansion in Society
Adolescents expand their social world  by mingling with others. Teenagers often get confused and conflicted with social friendship.
Confusing Sometimes
